CHIMO CRISIS SERVICES

Chimo Crisis Services offers a number of programs designed to address the needs of youth, teenagers and young adults.
 

Youth Counselling

Short term counselling with qualified cousellors for youth 13 to 19 years old who are experiencing crisis in daily living. Crisis could include:

  • Feeling stressed, depressed and/or anxious
  • Having problems with family members and friends
  • Facing situations of bereavement or loss
  • Being at risk for suicide

Talks for groups of youth can be arranged. Parent and professional consultation are also available. Service is available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

GROUP THERAPY SERVICES - Langley, BC

The Group Therapy Services program is accessed through the Langley Mental Health Centre. Individuals may self-refer and speak to an intake worker by telephone. Only Langley residents or those with a Langley GP or Psychiatrist qualify. If identified as suitable, a referral will be sent to the program.  The program is designed for those who are 19 years and older. Groups are held once per week for morning, afternoon or evening sessions for approximately 8-10 weeks. Those who attend have been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, bipolar, etc.

 

This is a program that does not involve individual sessions or crisis management. Group Therapy Services is housed at Langley Memorial Hospital in the Marion Ward Pavilion, 22051 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC

Provides programs which provide answers to questions about physical activity, depression, stress and anxiety, smoking, drug use, nutrition, self-esteem, relationships, sexual health (birth control, pregnancy, STI) and safety.
